Description
We aimed to create a turbo that spools up quickly, delivers strong torque and performs reliably. We took the IS38's plain bearing CHRA and improved it for bigger wheels and high performance. We also enlarged the thrust bearings, collars and oil passages to handle the increased loads and ensure efficient operation. After rigorous global testing, this turbo can produce up to 600 crankshaft horsepower, with 520-530whp on E85 and 430-460whp on 93 octane, ideal for street use with fast spool-up and robust mid-range power. We recommend keeping boost at 25-28psi to avoid loss of efficiency, adjusting lower if necessary due to fuel or engine limitations.
CAUTION: Always follow the correct procedure for checking/adjusting the wastegate actuator when installing the turbo! Recommended wastegate actuator voltage: 3.4V-3.6V
Always pre-fill the turbocharger, replace engine oil and filter, and follow proper break-in procedures.
