What has been upgraded?
This lighter version of the 4.0 TFSI upgraded turbochargers features dual ceramic ball bearings. The compressors feature larger, reinforced, and solid-material impellers machined to handle heavy loads and high boost. In addition, the turbine wheels have been enlarged, and the housings have been redesigned with new shafts and VSR-balanced components.
